‘Gaging heights’

On the site, a water measurement gauge could be seen within an area of the River Sheaf hidden behind the foliage of vegetation. The foliage hides the gage which measure up to three meters in height, this could suggest that in the past water levels have reach nearing the height of three meters which suggest the area is / was susceptible to flooding.

The neighbouring regions of the area Centenary works and Bryta works can be observed to be sitting a minimum of 3.5meter above the ‘River Sheaf’ floor.pic
