Love/Hate relationships

Browsing Sheffield city authority’s planning applications, I found a permitted development proposal for the small office block (Unit C) on the site. A very typical response to the shortage of homes in the UK (Sheffield city council have a target to build 29,750 new homes by 2026).

What makes it interesting is that one of the comments on the application is from a current tenant, apparently unaware that such an application was put forward. Have the owners of the site got big future ambitions for what the site is used for?

Have the tenants?

This finding bares reference to Jacob’s Hidden Tensions post. In it, he mentions perceived tensions between the site and surroundings. Perhaps the tensions aren’t between neighbours, but actually the owners of the site and those that work there.
