Common Industrial Site Typology
Mini Climbing Works – Red Brick & Metal Cladding
As stated in my previous post, even though a number of different typologies can be seen at the site, there is a common character. Having said this, there are a few buildings that are inappropriate for the area and quite alien to the rest of the typologies. The most obvious example is the building shown on the last image which seems that it does not respect the site in which it is located or its history, as it sits between traditional red brick industrial buildings. An appropriate solution might without a violent intervention to the site might be to simply re-clad it with more appropriate materials based on the materiality and typology of the site.
