Allodium: an estate held in absolute ownership, without acknowledgement to a superior.
Can absolute ownership be by that of an implicit community, a commune of people who understand a secret, who experience this one space?
When these people are in the Auckley Road Ort, they have absolute ownership. They are away from Norton Hammer, away from any issues and problems they may be facing. They can see the outside world, but people need to make the effort to find them in the ort, they need to invite themselves to be a part of this collective of owners.
This space and concept of passive yet absolute ownership will be explored architecturally; not through a building, but by an enhancement of the space and augmentation of the landscape of ownership of the Auckley Road Ort.
